Camping

Tomorrow we are leaving to camp at Buttermilk Falls State Park, near Ithaca NY. We grew up around there, husband went to Ithaca College. It is a beautiful area, and from what I remember about the hike to the falls it is stunning, and fun when you get up there. Having said that, I am more of a meanderer. Maybe a slow plodding pace is more me. And I am married to he-of -he-fast-walkers. So I will walk it, and the boys who don't care to charge ahead can stay with me. We are tent camping, and yes, it is suppose to rain. But it's our only camping trip this year. The boys are all a great age for this, no more toddlers. They will wear the same clothes the entire weekend, and play in the mud, and be happy about it. I'm not the kind of mom who really cares if they do. They'll have fun, and I won't have to follow around after them like I use to. I also use to have to entertain them, I couldn't rest. I'm hopeful. Even with rain.`And of course there's knitting to be done on the mittens. We are going up for an "everybody's birthday" party Hope the same for you. at my mothers. We're doing them all at once, instead of having to mail things back and forth. So that's it, we're not packed entirely, not even remotely really. But it's just going to be a relaxing weekend.
