Breeze sock

I started the Breeze ankle sock from Knitty last night. I have always liked the tilting ladder lace pattern. I tried it right out of the barbara Walker treasury, but it was confusing as it was knit flat. It seems easier in the round. I like the pattern. I am using some reclaimed sock yarn I found in the basement, that had begun and sat as a scarf for years, so this is found yarn (picture on right is from Knitty). It's varigated, and it doesn't show off the stitch very well, but I consider it a practice pair. I'll do these again in a plain yarn.

Wisp

In a complete change from the Endpaper Mitts that I started, I found Wisp on Ravelry tonight. I have about 8 rows done, and I am enjoying it. I had some mohair-ish pink in my stash, something acrylic probably. But it's a change from all the winterwear I've been doing. Time for some spring knits!
This pattern is from Knitty Summer 2007.
Their pictures show all the ways you can wrap this, it can even look like a little capulet on a teenage girl (probably double the width). It sort of takes me in the direction of the shawl I've been thinking about. Friend Cathy says she has a basic pattern I can fool with. After this maybe.
