First ever projects

This Mickey Mouse sweater was my first ever knitting project, about 18 years ago. My friend Penny Silvers showed me how to Knit and purl one day while our kids were at

preschool together. Then I went to the LYS, picked up a Disney book, and bought Red Heart and got on my way. The lady at the shop did try to persuade me to try something small to begin, but I never do that. The seams are done by sewing machine (!) but apparently the sleeves are sewn in by hand, using the blue yarn! It totally shows, and they don't lay anywhere near flat. The Huey Dewey and Luis sweater is my second project, and it has sat unfinished all the years. Just a few stitched on the collar and it's done.
